moon•son - a descendant of the reflected light (chiefly in darkness)

moonson is a husband and wife collaboration. we love to travel and take photos of the places we visit. both learning from scratch, we started shooting film early on in our relationship. sharing enthusiasm for the moon, we started to take analog photos of it and all off its phases from our front porch in stone mountain, ga. we kept experimenting to capture the moodiest shots of the moon.

we were constantly shooting every chance we had. with each time we were waiting to get the film back from processing, it became more evident to us that shooting was more than just a hobby. we became passionate about this shared love and the endless possibilities of how these photos would turn out. the anticipation is what makes film exciting for us. there is no other feeling like going through a developed roll for the first time. analog photography offers imperfect results that are unique and magical. film is wonderfully nostalgic and we want to keep that alive.
